am in dire need of a dream poet but will go with 'em beauties first

Hye all. Can I just say, how I miss you guys so much? Like, a lot of much. I've had to be patient firstly because of the assignments, then came the exam and once that finished, I have to endure another half-a-night of bad internet connection here on campus while flickering mush on the anxiety to post in Little Black Book. Well, in the end lets just say that I'm glad I'm not going/doing anywhere/anything at this moment. This 10minutes (or so) period will be devoted purely on beauty solitude. Eh, even writing it down gives me the usual chill ;) That's when you know you've done something right.
Etude House Proof 10 Makeup Fixer, Elianto Baked Blush in 02 Blushy, Etude House Dual Fibre Cheek Brush (Glow)

Sorry if the background is too distracting, y'all know I love that man.

I've been abstaining from spending what little amount of money left for me on makeups for err..2months? Think I did. And every time I passed any beauty stores, I would remind myself that I only need certain items which I don't have yet and would want to have. The Makeup fixer is one. This works as a finishing touch to our makeup, just spray it a little far from your face (about two, three spritz will do) and our makeup would stay glowing and natural-looking. I have serious dry skin, which made worsen by the makeup I wore, so obviously a makeup fixer needs to be in my stash to keep my face from cracking. I've also gone on a phase where, despite of wanting full coverage makeup, I didn't want it to look cakey on the face. So with a makeup fixer, I'm able to achieve that moist and dewy look. I got this at RM19 after less.

I remember, way before I start to appreciate makeup, that I've used my mom's Avenne makeup fixer. I can't really be sure if it is a makeup fixer but I've always, just out of pleasure, spray it on my face to get that dewy effect. Come to think of it, I guess it's a toner (oh well, don't take my words for it. I simply couldn't remember-we're talking about years back) The Evian one also I have tried from a friend and I like it as well.

The brush on the other hand, I've been wanting for AGES. I can't remember a time when I walked into Etude House and not fiddle over this baby. It says on the packaging that it is a cheek brush, which is true because it gives a nice blend to your blush without streaking. But I've always stood by the rule that if you know how to maneuver brushes, you'll be fine. And for this reason, I won't be using this brush for my cheeks. Instead, I'll be using them for my foundations!

What the brush looks like. The white top part has denser strands than the black lower part so it is more "fitted" (LOL I can't find a word) This brush retails for RM34-ish and I got it for RM28-ish after less. Brushes like this comes in expensive I found. The other one I spotted months ago was in Skin Food, which retails for RM55+. Of course for better options you could always find a MAC range but for a self-taught makeup person, it's a bit safer to settle for this cute Korean range.

So on the right is the traditional foundation brush that I used before and now I am going to use the new one I have on my left for applying my foundation. A foundation routine entry would be likely to commence in a few days time :)

The Elianto Blusher that I just got would be used as a highlight for my face. True, it has pink specks on it but most of the product comes off stark white that it would be ridiculous to pile it as blusher on my cheeks. So after I contour the face using bronzer (or if you prefer me calling it sculpting), and used a blush, the final step would be to brush a little amount of this onto the high cheekbones just under the eye in a blusher-outward motion. The intention is to grab on light when the sun hits your face, so be sure to cover the cheekbones, a little bit on the chin, a little bit on the middle between the brows and a little on the cupidbow (the V shape above your lips). Be sure not to apply too many as it is again meant only for highlighting. You don't want to be Snow White, wouldn't you? This is the first highlight I have owned and the next that I would want to have is Benefit High Beam (on the wishlist still). I've found a cream-based one in Etude House but I've done a couple of swatches and it didn't catch my love straight away so that might have to hold.

On another different note, I am proudly to say that I have manage to hit pan (though maybe a little) with my favourite bronzer.
You can read on what I have to say about this here

I don't know whether I have to 'yay' this or mourn this. I know that for a fact that an extremely amount of my makeups have hit pan. But yet, Shins now don't carry this baby anymore as it has upgraded itself into a somewhat more polish store with makeup lines such as YoungBlood. My other alternative would be to find out if anywhere else sells this including the blogshops or I need to go to US to get myself one. I wouldn't bank on the second option though.

Another one that I have popping a lot lately is this Rimmel Airy Fairy Number 070 lipstick that I LOVE. It is light pink with a little bit of purple indertone to it, which is awesome for an everyday lipstick.

I love my nudes, but when I want to do pinks, I would go for this one. So I would recommend you all to get them too :)

I guess that's all for now. I won't promise to not buy anymore stuffs but I really am looking forward to do more hands-down work after this. Like the practical stuffs, you all will surely know in no time =] Bye then, ILYSM.
