making a statement is always the best policy to live by

Photo of the liquid foundations that i used. From left; Paul & Joe Light Cream Foundation in 15 Sable, Revlon PhotoReady in Number 006 Medium Beige, Maybeline Angelfit in W02 Natural Buff, Redearth Invisible Touch in Number 3 Misty Rose and Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation in Number 200 Soft Beige.

I know that i don't need these much. But i definitely want these much(and probably more)

Some of these i owned over time. I've almost ran out of Maybeline Angelfit as you can see, it's already a bit dented. There were a few hits and misses with these beauties but otherwise i love them all the same.

My most worn recently for the past couple of months would be the Revlon and the Paul & Joe one, just because there're the newest ones that i got. I've said it before that i wanted the new Revlon Photoready line so bad that when it arrived in Malaysia i was basically all hyped up to get it. Both are full coverage, just the way i like them to be. I can not go with sheer coverage or i would use just plain moisturiser and a face powder for it. Let's just put it that i like the makeup look better than the oh-are-you wearing-makeup look.

Revlom Photoready didn't upset me at all. It gives you, again, full coverage with that slight bit of shiny-ness. But that only happens when you are in direct sunlight, but even if you are, it wouldn't be overly dramatic. This foundation will make you appear flawless looking when taking pictures, hence the name of it. That was the main reason why i wanted to get it so bad (and i'm glad i did)

It has, i would say, up to mid day coverage and then you'll have to touch up. But that depends if you wear a makeup base first then your foundation is going to stay on for long. I used Ianti Luxe Jewelry Makeup Base in the green shade to cover redness on my face, and it also acts like a base for the foundation later.

What i like more about this Revlon foundation is that i don't have to use a concealer afterwards because the foundation already sets off all the need-concealed spots on my face. That's how i measure a good foundation, when you do not have to use concealer afterwards. The RedEarth and Maybeline Angelfit foundations, though covers quite well, still need concealers to perfect them. So does the Rimmel one a bit.

Paul & Joe foundation acts just as good as the Revlon one, just that it is a tad more expensive. I would say it was a good investment cause a little goes a long way. Another slight difference is that Paul & Joe has a funny smell that you kind of have to get use to. It smells like rubbery stuffs, like latex. I remembered it when i attended a makeover workshop and the makeup artist uses this kind of glue for dramatic effect and that was the smell. And it is not so convenient to use, seeing as it is in a round jar thing that you have to put your fingers in, while all the other foundations come in bottle with pumps (RedEarth comes in bottle with a pan applicator and Rimmel come out in a tube). Thus, i'll always save this for occasions instead of daily use as it takes up so much to work with and not the kind of on-the-go makeup.

But all in all, I'll definitely recommend having the Revlon Photoready. It is RM54, standard price for Revlon. I believe the price has been marked down from RM65. The others i can't remember exactly how much but all of them are affordable (well, if you want to be broke at the end of the day like me that is LOL!)

:) smiling happy makeup-face.
