In2it Mascara, Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara by Maybeline Hello Kitty edition, The Magnum Volum' Express by Maybeline, ZA Cutie Curl Mascara, Clinique High Impact Mascara , Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara, Rimmel Cuvred Brush Extra Super Lash, Elianto Fiber Mascara.
With Mascaras, I know I really can't say much because there is no certain techniques to how to find a good one, it all depends on the way you apply it. But some results like clumping and stuff could be attributed by the products themselves. Out of these, I would say that my favourite ones would be-
ZA Cutie Curl Mascara & Clinique High Impact Mascara
The Clinique one I got when I bought the Clinique 3-step facial set a while ago, so whatever's left in it has dried out and I need to get another one because I'm so in love with them. It's wand has soft bristles and it's big so it spelled serious. It makes lashes longer and thicker as well, which works for me because I have short (or not at all!) lashes. The ZA one on the other hand is probably for me, a cheaper dupe of Clinique, though it's wand isn't as bushier as the Clinique one. I remembered getting it when I first wanted to be serious in makeups and I was so glad that this one came. It separate and lengthen the lashes wonderfully and I have not had problem removing them as well. Mind you, all are waterproof mascaras, which I think is an important thing because I never feel the need to have the non waterproof one.
Tho things I like about this mascara is that, its Hello Kitty and that is my all-time favourite cartoon character, I think she is so cute even to my age. Secondly, my friend Farina has used this mascara, only it's not the Hello Kitty collection but I really love the wand and how it separates and lengthen her lashes. It really does make her lashes appear longer. It's not something I am used to in mascaras a while ago so I was quite late in jumping in the bandwagon for wands like this (I think ZA has ones like this to but I haven't tried them yet). But you really need layering for this thing to work, it doesn't happen with a swift swipe like what the ads says.
Funny story is, I had to get two of the same brand. I have wanted to try out as much Maybelines as I can because I've heard they are the best drugstore brand out there producing mascaras and I've heard so much good reviews on them. This one is rather bended and it has the serious-looking, fluffy wand as well that goes in different length if you swirl them. This one works pretty in voluminising and making the lashes appear fuller. Great for me as well, because I have a graspful of lashes only and I don't want to have to wear fake lashes every day.
The ones that don't receive much lovin' from me are these-
The ones that don't receive much lovin' from me are these-
In2it, Elianto Fiber Mascara, Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara
I got the In2it one in a purchase with it's eyeliner (which I also have love-hate relationship with), and as far as it looks like a serious wand of mascara, really, it doesn't do much for me. The mascara doesn't stay on for long on my lashes and it really feels like it's not working at all. Other products from In2it like eyeshadows and blushes are gorgeous, but as far as eye stuff goes, it really isn't much to be hope for. The Elianto one on the other hand is just one of my impulse buy from the many Elianto visits I have. When I first tried it on, it really doesn;t do much either (if not at all). What I find is that it dries out my lashes and they're easy to fall off much quickly. I have about 90% of the bottle by the way and am thinking of using it just for my lower lashes (because of the size of the tube, makes it work more manageable for lower lashes), but I don't know..The Revlon one is for me, total dissapointment. I mean, Revlon does make good quality makeups but I don't think this mascara is worth the hype of it. I like the mettalic look of course but look at the wand itself. Absolutely short and not my type at all, and it comes off really, really hard when applying and it really hurts my eyes. I've never had such hard wearing mascaras before. If I could recommend one that isn't worth the buy, I would recommend this one. It's not worth the pain let alone the money.
Apparently, my hunt with mascaras doesn't end just yet. I am still planning to buy more. I haven't tried a Loreal so that might be next, plus I want to have it's big ol' fluffy mascara that Eva Longoria wore. Most people hate it because they say its clumpy but i'll give it a try. And also, i would like to get the Rimmel Sexy Curves in turqoise, I think that's the color of it.So pretty, the wands are really unique and I really like Rimmel stuffs. But in the mean time, I got myself this-

I got this yesterday at KLCC with Zureen so I haven't tried it out yet. Nothing too exciting about it, just that I haven't seen it in my regular Guardian at Mid Valley. It looks super similar to Maybeline MagnumVolum' Express in terms of the wand but we'll see how it goes. It says on the packaging that it is also suitable for sensitive eyes, so A+ to that. I'm really looking forward to try this out and see whether it's in the hit list.
Oh, on the other hand, probably I can pop in my other favourite purchases of the month.
