The merry introduction should be read in a Southern America slang, ye folks. Blame the mass that I'm currently reading.
Anyhow, onto my Best of 2011. What I find excruciatingly exciting to blog about, beauty-wise during the span of 365 (was it really 365? I wrote 366 above because that's what I seen people writing all over twitter) GAH.
It seems like not much, which is 75% of the truth, but the real deal is, I've started exploring makeup, like really exploring them sometime in the beginning of 2010. I was paddling my way through heaps of products to try out and went on full force buying them, that's why my blog have covered so much about them ever since- it was really exciting and fun to me, to be able to test and see whether I like certain products thus transformed this blog into an opinionated site. But as I went through the year and right into the end of 2011, I have been more focused on what I like about makeup, sticking to old favorites and venturing only to find better alternatives if the ones I have doesn't do me justice (as you will see, in the case of mascaras). My collection has not subdue, rather I have put myself into a little pause button ;
"Wait- do I really want that? I gotta make some research first,"
The bottomline here- don't be judging the minimal amount of favorites I have. Again, read with the same American accent as described.

Super+ BB Cream, Cleansing oil Express, Soup & Glory trick and Treatment Concealer, Nature Republic Stain Girl's Tint, Etude House Proof 10 Aqua Tint, Etude House Touch! Touch! Shadow Liner, Nature Republic cream eyeshadow in descriptions I can't pronounced.
All the products mentioned about I have blogged about, if not individually. I have a separate blog posts just for the BB Cream and the Cleansing Oil which I absolutely LOVE TO DEATH and have used diligently for half of the year 2011. The concealer I bought and used everyday since I got it, just because I lacked good concealers and not until my Topshop one showed up that I began to switched using the later and occasionally coming back to the former. Needless to say, its 'mazing for moi.

One thing I noticed had changed beginning of 2011 is the fact that I started wearing cream eyeshadows instead of the powder ones. It's a good change and gives me the sleek and creamy look to the eyes. Probably because I took fascination in MAC paintpoints but up to this point, I haven't bought one. I know for a fact that Maybelline came up with a Color Tattoo line that's supposed to mimick the paintpots and I've been waiting- patiently- for them to arrive in Malaysia, which I'm sure wouldn't happen in another 2 months, perhaps? Trying to be optimistic yet realistic here.
And please don't look at me like that- I know I've promised an eye makeup routine and I'm dangerously lagging on it *facepalm*

The next thing which seems to be in line with me converting to cream eyeshadows is that I used lip and cheek tints most of the year. Partly because I realized that I had the two tubes from early of the year and worried that they might be of waste, slap them onto the cheeks and turns out heavenly. Forget the last metaphoric exclamation. It just feels nice. It makes the cheeks look flushed enough without the cakey-ness of powder blushers.

If you can see the glowing effect and shimmy-shimmy of my tints. Ignore the white and gold Edward Cullen lightning parting the middle.
I'm really happy that at the end of 2011, I didn't go all too gaga over makeups, so I can finally settle down and use the stack that I have. You'll see in the next post the amount of makeup that I've gotten my hands into, and that is probably 1/3 less compared to the years before. I guess I have my LLB to thank for that, it keeps me in vain with papers instead of vanity itself.
Which is cool with me. Bai all!
