i'm not going to be able to write as much as i like these coming days since i'm on my study week. (not that i pledge myself to, more like a justification for the other guilty pleasure things that i know i;m about to commit sooner or later). but all my latest updates are in facebook anyway. let's see what i can make up off here.
22nd oct 2009- went to Sime Darby Convention Centre to support my friend Daus, who had a pidato competition there. he's one of the seventh best taw and we were soooooo proud of him walaupun die tak menang.=]then, lepak2 kat nasi lemak famous bangsar as usual, one of my fave chill out place.
23rd oct 2009- went to KLSuperbike Exhibition kat Mont Kiara with Deline,Yannick,Aween,Cam,Emi & Syak.seronok sangat even though i'm not a fan of harleys and superbikes, the steels and stuffs were soooooo cool.sangat berbaloi.thanks aween and cam for taking us there.there was also this Reggae Concert which i don't understand a word except for 'jauuuuuuuhhhhh' kau, nak ke mane haa? =]
24th oct 2009-went back to Penang for my study week.the train took all day.delay some more.haiyaa~
25th oct 2009-went to visit syanaz kat mrsm die.she's having her spm this coming novenber.hope she does well, which i don't really have to worry about.what else?oh, had lots of luch, tea, dinner AND supper. abah menggalakkan ye, "kurus sangat nie hadzwan tak lari ke?," and wani went, "tapi hadzwan g***** kan?," which was off the topic really =]. then, i studied islamic criminal law tajuk HUDUD. i've looked up on murtad, minum arak, baghi (pemberontakan), curi, hirabah, zina and qazaf. now i'm on the net but i PROMISE i'll view thriugh what i've read today before i sleep! like, honestly!

last time it was Tort that's bugging me, this time it was Family Law.
the subject is interesting yet way tooooooo hard. i don't know where to begin with. lots of topics of course. domicile, promise to marry, solemnisation of marriages, nullity of marriage, divorce, legitimacy, adoption, custody and guardianship,maintenance, distribution of property wooooooooo
and not to mention during the exam itself, we are only going to be provided with the Law Reform (Marriage & Divorce) Act when we need like, another 5 more Acts to help us with the killing questions. and more, there is no list of cases provided.
i took all the lecture notes yet i am still short of a few pages since there were three classes which i didn't attend (because of H1N1, college activities and my criminal law assignment-durhh, i wouldn't have to miss the last class if the damn footnotes on my assignment didn't just dissapear out of nowhere)
i really want to pass this paper.
i'm totally scared.
please pray for me.

okay, hari nie dalam kelas criminal law, Dr.Jal ajar pasal private defense. contoh terdekat ynag orang boleh paham is this, bile ade seseorang yang attack kite, xkire la same ade nak merompak, nak merogol, nak membunuh, nak mencederakan, or even, if kite rase orang tu nak pukul kite tapi xpun, or if orang gile or kanak-kanak nak serang kite, kite semua sebenarnye entitle untuk pertahankan diri kite. kdang-kdang, perbuatan kite mempertahankan diri tu boleh sampai mencederakan org tu balik or sampai org tu mati (mane kite taw kan?) so adakah kite bersalah????if ikut undang-undang, kite x salah lah.tapi tapi tapi, tertakluk pada terma-terma dan syarat-syarart tertentu. xpercaye, tengoklah Kanun Keseksaan yee. dr section 96 sampai section 106.

openhouse y'alls
seronoks and sukes dapat jalan2 hari nie. konvoi beraye ke rumah Datin Noraini and Datuk Markiman di Semenyih, Selangor.ade la lebih 10 kereta yang pergi. and x betul al if sepanjang perjalanan tu x sesat kan?hehhh..berpusing2 kat situ jgak. tapi yang best every walking minits ader gmbr.so everyone was happy.
rumah datin, there was abundance of foods.sedap sangat.cendol laksa mee goreng kuey teow goreng lemang rendang nasi impit kueh raye pun sedap macam nak bawak balik je.DJ best, (haha) eventhough semua lagu2 evergreen.rumah datin besar, lawa siap ade muzium gambar2 lagi =] then jumpe dgn seniors kitorang yang mane semua dah jadi lawyers dah.boleh tahan laa segak and canteknye wuuuuu agak2 nanti saye jadi cmtu x bile dah abes blaja?
then, beraye pulak ke rumah auntie aween dekat bukit jelutong. time nie dah xde maknenye konvoi dah, semua orang dah sesat and ikut kepala masing2 dah bawak kete.tp last2 semua orang terjumpe balik kat tol mane tah.lawak je eh.sampai2 je serbu nasi briyani aween sebab kat rumah Datin lapar x makan nasi.rumah aween pun best tapi terkilan x rase soto waaaaa nmpk sedap je sotonye.

finally for now laaa
a looooooooong first week after LCC. haha. perasan x byk post2 saye yang start dgn a long first week after hols, a long first week after raye. hahaha. cam cliche kan kan kan. tp memang betul pun a long first week dah after LCC. after hantar criminal assignment minggu lepas (which, saye x puas hati langsung langsung sebab rase cm buat dgn sgt teruk), kena siapkan satu lagi assignment land tp yang nie buat in groups. susahnye la haaaai, Tuhan je yang taw. huh. dugaan dugaan sungguh..
pergi tgk mock trial uia. suke lah! saye rase sebelum2 nie cerite2 yang saye dgr pasal mock diorang tu x betul. gempaks gak ape dorg punye performance. tip top. despite, okaylah..mane ade 2,3 org saksi yang macam x best kan. tp overall it was great. exceeds my expectation =] good job uia!

life after LLB Hons (Malaya).
i went to LCC today. as in Law Career Convention.actually, i went there because of my work. i need to approach the law firms for sponsorships on the faculty's magazine.need to collect articles. macam-macam lah.
what's the verdict?
i think despite the bureaucracy and all, it turned out really well.
i personally don't like too crowded a place, so i like the event just the way it is.
i think it is more approachable the way it is dah.
the firms' design were super nice.
went into Shook Lin & Bok and felt just like at home.
i listened to their talk first thing in the morning with Bee San and Jeannete.
it was on the Tools Of A Successful Lawyer.
the introductory speech by Mr.Kelvin was awesome.
"how do you measure yourself as successful? is it through the amount of money you're going to get, or by going to court, win a case and become famous?,"
hehe =]
suddenly i remembered what Datin said in class.
"saya taknak anak-anak didik saya ni bile keluar kerja nanti otak asyik fikirkan duit je. taw la buat kerja sekali je dah boleh bayar downpayment BMW"
i like to think, as what Mr.Kelvin said, that being a successful lawyer means you're going to be ahead of your peers and do your work exceptionally and extraordinary worthwhile.
i met four of my seniors who have already started working there in the firm.
that firm must have been something, cuz i know my seniors who went there were the top in their classes.
then went to Thomas Philips, ran into Malik Imtiaz.
know who he is? he is the lawyer representing Lina Joy, Petra Kamaruddin and Kamariah Ali.
my head bureau, Bee San was all excited for her project paper, so she went and asked him questions of this and that
until he finally said, "okay, why don't we arrange for a meeting,"
hehehe..good sense of humor la you!!
went to Azman Davidson & Co.
typical Za has set her eye on someone there and that put a BIG smile on her face all day long.
gehehehee =]
by far, that was the only firm whose lawyers let their hairs down and laughed unconditionally loud.
which makes us all want to go and do our attachment there =]
other firms were Albar & Partners, one accounting firm KPMG, Michael Chai & Co, the Judiciary Department, Malaysian Bar Council, and many others.
wish Attorney General's Chamber would come, though.

went out to check it.
IT WAS BEYOND FUN
it was a carboot sale day!
there was like, a clash between second hand stuffs that are still in their best conditions but in slashed prices
and a clearance sale for some blogshops.
it was worth the visit, and the money of course. =]

just a little to ponder about
Sumatera dah alami gempa bumi minggu lepas, and Malaysia as it neighbour terkena jugak padahnya. According to my mom and Azit who have felt the shaking earth for about 8 to 9 seconds, have told me that the Government has just withdrew a tsunami warning. bah. saye sangat takut. seriously, perkara-perkara nie membuatkan saye menggeleter sampai ke tulang. saye sedih dengan kehilangan saudara-saudara seislam di Sumatera tu (semoga roh-roh mereka dicucuri rahmat Allah s.w.t). jangan lupa doakan mereka tau =]
saya akui, saya sangat jahil dalam bab-bab agama ni. banyak yang saya tak tau. atau lebih tepat lagi, banyak yang saye dah belajar tapi dah lupa. sebab saye makin lama, makin tak praktikkan perkara-perkara yang saya belajar tu. no i'm not proud of it. hari-hari saya tanya diri saya sendiri, " bile saya nak puasa lagi?," " bile saye nak sembahyang sunat lagi?," "bile saye nak peruntukkan masa untuk bace Al-Quran?," "bile saye nak bersedeqah lagi?," "bile saye nak meminta maaf kat mak dan abah?,"
banyak jawapan saya, nantilah. Ataupun tak terjawab langsung sebab saye lebih sibuk memikirkan dan membuat hal-hal lain. if kawan ajak shopping, itu yang saye ikutkan dulu. if ade cerite best kat tv, itu yang saye tengok dulu. if ada kawan untuk diajak bersembang, itu yang saye akan pilih dulu instead of isolating myself and have a quiet and honest conversation with my God. keduniaan sungguh kan? dan alasannya? alaaa banyak mase lagi laa.
macam mana kalau masa tu terhenti, macam masa terhenti untuk mangsa-mangsa gempa bumi Sumatera yang dah mati? macam mana kalau masa saya terhenti?
saya nak buat apa? saya nak gunakan alasan apa lagi? macam mana saya nak berhadapan dengan Allah nanti?banyak lagi amalan yang saya tak sempat buat..kalau saya gunakan alasan tak sempat dan tak cukup masa, boleh justify ke semua perbuatan saya? akan dihukum kah saya?-Sesungguhnya balasan Allah di hari kemudian nanti adalah sebuah janji.
Selalu saye telefon mak setiap kali saye akan menduduki ujian. selalunya, saye akan siapkan jadual exam siap-siap and bagi pada mak supaya senang mak tau bile saye akan ambil exam, bile die boleh bacakan yassin dan berdoa untuk saya, bile die boleh provide kan air yassin dan bile die boleh ucapkan good luck untuk saye. dulu bile arwah tok masih ade pun, saya tak lupe call die untuk die mendoakan saya.
